Ice Cream

When I hear the word ‘Ice Cream’,

My tummy starts to rumble with a hymn.

An irresistible temptation it causes,

The delightful taste, it never loses.

Different flavors for you and for me.

Each one of them never disappoints thee.

Luscious flavors with mixed toppings

Makes us crave for this more than any other things.

Cookies and cream with those big Oreos,

I can get more in the fridge or from yours.

Hershey’s chocolate, my favorite flavor,

So now give me some, that’s my favor.

Expensive or not I don’t care

What’s important is I can eat here or there.

Cheers up my mood in every way,

With a simple Ice Cream, my sadness goes away.

Love Mother Earth~

Ecological crisis as described occurs when the environment of a species or a population changes in a way that destabilizes its continued survival. There is no doubt that current condition of our planet definitely belongs under ecological crisis category. We made tremendous environmental mess over the years, and as always things need to become critical before we start fixing them. Mother Earth is down on her knees not able to defend herself from so many different ecological problems. Let us try our very best in helping Mother Earth and preserving our only home, the Earth.

The beauty of Mother Earth if we take care of it

We seem to be constantly forgetting how Earth existed many years before us. The times when we could drink the water in the rivers because the water there is pure and clean, as well as the clean air we can breathe everywhere. But now, let us look at our surroundings. Garbages scattered everywhere and pollutions arise in every place. What will just happen if we continue these activities of ours and not do anything to solve it? We should stop taking things for granted, and accept the fact that we are not supreme rulers of our planet. Let us start improving our Mother Earth. There are many things we can do like avoid throwing trashes in public places. We are given garbage cans to put our trashes on. We also sould segregate the things we throw into Bio Degradable and Non-Bio Degradable. People cut trees for making paper, therefore they need to replace the ones they cut with another two so that trees would become abundant. They help soak water to avoid floods in our place and a good shelter for everyone. Plastics are bad to our air nowadays since the numbers of plastics used and burned are increasing. We must lessen the use of plastics and use papers instead if possible. Those are just simple things we can do for our Mother Earth.

We have a mutual relation to the Earth. We cannot live without our planet, because this is the only planet man can lie on. Besides, the planet Earth also needs us. Aside from us, no one can take care of the environment as we do. We benefit from the planet so the planet as well, should benefit from us. Let us maintain this as we live on this planet for this planet to live in many more generations and serve more people.

We were not meant to be, after all

The tragic endings. Girl dies, leaves the boy alone and a happy ever after have not been made. We were used to couples ending a happily ever afters like Cinderella and Snow White. It’s what endings should be right, that no separation can come between the hearts of two lovers even death. Let us now try making a comic relief for the most famous tragic story of Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo went to Juliet’s tomb and saw Paris crying before Juliet. Paris saw Romeo with a dagger, so Paris shrieked like a girl’s cry. The next thing he knew, Romeo was laughing. He never thought Paris was such a gay. Paris explained that if he confessed the truth, his father would take out all his hair in his head and even in the armpit and nose trills. So he had no choice. As for helping Paris’ melancholic situation, he let Paris escape in the darkness. He ran and ran so no one could stop him and... thud ! ‘Aaaaaaah!.’ Paris let out this hilarious girl shriek again. He fell into a pit and no one cares anymore.

Because of that shriek, Juliet slowly awakens without Romeo knowing. Romeo slowly drank the vial. Juliet was completely awake. She knew Romeo drank a poisonous vial. Juliet cried in so much grief for twenty minutes and the one who gave Romeo the vial suddenly appeared. He explained that the vial was not a poison and that it was the vial that turns one into an opposite gender. Juliet was so shocked. Romeo was now awake. Slowly, long hair starts to grow and breasts develop. Romeo was now a girl ! Juliet couldn’t believe what’s happening. She kills the one who gave Romeo the wrong vial. Now, Romeo is a girl physically and emotionally. Paris all soaked up in mud shows up and saw the beautiful Romeo. He felt a spark and love between him. He couldn’t help it but to stop being a gay. He fell in love with Romeo. Juliet felt really awful for all the things that happened that night, so she stabbed herself with Romeo’s dagger. She knew Romeo and her were not meant to be anymore.

Okay, that was just a mischievous ending made by me. Unique ending isn’t it? No other love story endings have like this one. But it was just a comic relief. So instead of making a reader cry, the author turns the tragic ending into a funny and hilarious ending.

Love. All people have experienced this feeling. There are many cases of this, like the boy loves the girl but the girl does not love the boy. Cases wherein not all you fell in love with will catch you. Why? Because they just can’t love them or they just treat them as friends and nothing more. In these cases, the ones who are not loved back experience depression, loneliness and sadness in life, being hopeless. Like the melancholy of Romeo, not being loved back by the girl she loves the most. But the best part in loving ? Is that the person whom you love also loves you back. But sadly, not all couples who love each other experience a happy ending. Many of them experience tragedy in certain reasons. This explains the tragic story of Romeo & Juliet as they face the warmth love of each other, as well as the bitterness of death and separation.

The ending of this story was in my expectation. Speaking about the famous Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague talks about tragedy. Tragedy is a lot different from those other stories I read that has happily ever after. Tragedy leads to the bitterness of death that comes in between two lovers. It adds more thrill to the story between two lovers. If I would be the one to decide, I would have another ending for Romeo & Juliet. I would revise the parts in Act V Scene III for the events in that act are intense. In fact, every couple deserves to have a happy ever after, not just once upon a time.

Paris and Page saw two men approaching Juliet’s tomb. When they approached the tomb, Balthasar decided to leave Romeo. Paris approached near and it was Romeo whom he thought would commit a crime again. They finally saw each other. Romeo threatened Paris, so Paris grabbed Romeo’s sword and pointed it against him.

Paris: If I were to die, young man, I’ll make it sure that you die before me.

The sword Paris is holding is half inch near Romeo when Old Capulet came and interrupted to kill Romeo. Lady Capulet and some guards came in.

Old Capulet: I cannot bear anyone killing the love of my daughter. (To Romeo) Yes, my boy, Friar Lawrence told me everything. (To the guards) Arrest this Paris guy.

Paris: Oh no, sir! This is a mistake. *struggles but the guards were strong enough to capture him*

Lady Capulet: (To Old Capulet) I’m afraid we must leave Romeo and Juliet alone for Juliet will be in a state of shock when she saw us.

Lady Capulet, Old Capulet and the guard left.

Romeo saw the dead Juliet, lying lifelessly on her tomb. Romeo decided to kill the vial as possibly… But then, an unexpected hand tries to stop him. It was Juliet’s hand. Romeo could not believe it. A ghost? A phantom? A spirit? No. It was truly the love of his life, his only happiness and life, Juliet.

Romeo: The number of stars could not explain how much happy I am that you were alive. But, how?

Juliet: Explanations can wait, my love. For now, what shall we do?

Romeo: I think we shall face our parents. A legal love can make us happier than escaping.

Friar Lawrence entered.

Friar Lawrence: I’ve settled everything for the two of you. Unbelievable it is, but Capulet and Montague prepared a comfortable home for the two of you.

Lady Capulet, Old Capulet and Old Montague enters.

Lady Capulet: *Hugs Juliet tight* Oh! I could not believe this. You’re alive. Now that you are, we’ll just make it sure you lived happily. Death cannot take you anymore with the feeling of sadness and loneliness. We are so sorry my daughter for letting you do unwanted things and even risked your life just to make you happy. This would never happen again. We promise.

Juliet: I forgive you, all of you. And I thank you very much for respecting my decision and even gave us a home.

Old Montague: It’s nothing my daughter-in-law. We wish only happiness for you and my son. (To Romeo) The one who gave you the vial approached me. My son, I really couldn’t believe you would sacrifice your life for a girl. This I promise I would not separate you two nor object your decisions regarding love. Love is a very powerful thing indeed. It can do everything and once a mind is set, the heart works alone.

Romeo and Juliet: (To Friar Lawrence) Thank you so much, Friar Lawrence. We owe so much to you. Our happiness is too much already and we promise we would not waste your trust into us.

Old Montague: I believe we prepare a celebration for this?

Old Capulet: I agree my friend.
